This is probably my first time eating at a buffet restaurant since I got back from Australia and what surprises me is that THEY GOT BETTER! Filipino Restaurants have started the culinary competition, and I believe they improved way better than before. Filipino, Chinese, Italian, and Western, name it. Dad’s have it all. I was truly blessed to be able to experience this with my aunt and mom, as I always walk pass Dad’s every afternoon and never thought of having snacks there. I am on a very strict diet lately, because I’m trying to be healthier as ever so I stopped binge eating, but since my new meds for my Bipolar Disorder came out… I started craving again and that’s how Dad’s came along the picture.

Filipino Merienda

Turon

My favorite was the Filipino Buffet as they have all Filo goodies you could ever think of. They have turon, Halo-Halo Corner, Palitaw, Puto, Pichi-Pichi- Suman sa Latik, Maja Blanka, Bicho-Bicho, Kamote Que, name it. They have it! It’s surprising how they can manage to serve a grandiose “merienda” after a long work for lunch and long prep for dinner. As a chef myself, I couldn’t imagine being in the line for long hours to serve this and that, so kudos to Dad’s and Kamayan Team!

Halo Halo Corner

They also have Asian noodles as well as Western noodles. They have Pancit Bihon, Pancit Luglog, Pancit Malabon, they have pastas, tacos, and mini sliders and burgers. They also have fries, Filipino Congee (Arroz Caldo) with Tokwa’t Baboy (Pork Tofu).

The original price for this is P238 every Monday to Friday, P258 every weekends, but since I have a PWD ID, I get to take 20% off, thus making my endless craving a P170 Merienda Experience in heaven.ย
